This course encourages students to undertake the journey of creating a photobook and guides them through the process. Together, the class will examine the different options to get their work published and create strategies to make your book come to life. Students will learn to filter through projects, create a mood board and written book proposal, cherry-pick through edits— highlighting the essence of your project, and find new ways to amplify your photographic voice in book-format. Participants will understand the lifecycle and challenges of photobook publishing from the photographer’s perspective and will apply the course’s material to their personal work.
