Contemporary portraiture embraces a broad range of new ideas, media and techniques. New approaches evolve our understanding of traditional portraiture, yet can sometimes feel challenging for those wanting to get into the genre and navigate this effectively. How are fine art, editorial, and commercial portrait photography evolving while exploring new ways of representation?

In this free webinar, 4 leading HCP instructors will present their work focusing on themes of identity, representation, process, and form. We will discuss the components that go into making powerful portraits, and show how historical and cultural symbols and references can be used to enhance the message behind a portrait. Get insight from leading portrait photographers as they delve deeper into their diverse approaches to the genre.
