Chino Angles

Chino Angles is an editorial photographer based in Houston, Texas, originally hailing from Nigeria. His work has been featured in esteemed publications, including Rolling Stone, Vice, Houstonia Mag, and VoyageHouston, among others. Guided by his distinct photographic style, Angles has photographed for leading clients including Chick-fil-A, Dell Technologies, WNBA x Playa Society, Amazon, Beyonce’s Knowles-Rowland Center of Youth, Knowles-Temenos, UT Health, and many more. He was awarded a Sanman Art Residency and participated in the residency’s group exhibition in March 2023.

Angle’s work seeks to reimagine Blackness beyond singular stereotypes, highlighting its diverse beauty through bold fashion, intimate portraits, and raw, emotional cinematic frames. His photography blends elements of horror, beauty, art, fashion, and film, exploring identity, representation, and the complex relationship between fear, beauty, and culture. Angle challenges and celebrates how Blackness is portrayed, subverting traditional narratives to create a more dynamic understanding of identity, blurring the line between reality and imagination.
