Malcolm Daniel, the Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Malcolm Daniel joined the staff of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, in December 2013 after 23 years on the curatorial staff of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, including nine as head of that museum’s Department of Photographs. As the Gus and Lyndall Wortham Curator of Photography at the MFAH, Malcolm guides the department’s acquisitions, exhibitions, and programming across the full history of the medium, stepping into the “big shoes” of Anne Wilkes Tucker, who built the Museum’s photography collection for nearly forty years before her retirement in 2015. Malcolm has served on HCP’s Exhibitions Committee and Advisory Council and was guest curator for the 2014 Members Exhibition.
